(squidward777) made a bold move that paid off. He was ALL IN up against 2 players on the flop. Both players checked it all the way down. The highest hand shown by (bushie) was 22 then (squidward777) was able to show his 10 3. (squidward777) was declared the winner because he got a 3 on the board.
Risky move, but certainly paid off….and the game continues.
It took about one hour to have the first player removed from the NLOP Players Championship. There were two players that went to the flop with very strong starting hands (AK vs. JJ). The flop came:
A J 4
Player (RSTU) with AK put a solid bet out there and was raised by (kyle08) which encouraged (RSTU) to push ALL IN.
The player pushed ALL IN and (kyle08) had (RSTU) covered. (kyle08) turns over JJ and (RSTU) shows AK.
Turn was 7
A J 4 7
River was 10
A J 4 7 10
(RSTU) was eliminated from the tournament and putting (kyle08) in a good spot.
(RSTU) was awarded an autographed Mike Sexton book.

The cards have started to fly!
97 players have taken their seats and started their path to $20,000 1st place prize. The bragging rights and “Face of NLOP” for 2009 are on the line.

NLOP.com players have arrived this morning to get registered for NLOP Players Championship. There are over 100 players playing in the $30,000 NLOP.com Players Championship. It is getting close to start time.
Good Luck Players!
Tonight, July 31st, NLOP.com welcomed the 108 players that earned seats to the 2009 NLOP Players Championship. A welcome reception was held in the Vegas Hard Rock Hotel-Poker Room that began at 5pm and ran into early hours of the morning. When players arrived they were greeted by NLOP.com representatives and provided a “Welcome Gift”, tournament ID badge and tickets to the NLOP Players Championship After Party.
Once the players were welcomed, they were invited to play in NLOP $40 Sit n Go tournaments hosted in the Hard Rock poker room. There was consistently two tables of NLOP Players playing in these quick tournaments. Later in the evening, the players were graced with the presence of Mike Sexton, Poker Pro and NLOP Ambassador. Mike took photos, signed autographs and played in a few sit n go tournaments.
Many of the players mingled around for most of the evening, meeting and greeting with each other. There were definitely a few exchanges regarding previous tournaments they had play against in. Vegas Hard Rock Hotel is alive in general but now with the buzz of the NLOP players it really is rockin’.
Stay tuned, more updates to come.

The 2009 NLOP Player’s Championship is being held at the Vegas Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and will be played in their 18 table, 7,000+ sq ft poker lounge.
